Transform any Digital Signage installation into a rich interactive experience. Our collection of sensors and actuators offers the flexibility to create unique experiences wherever Digital Signage is applied. The Nexmosphere Xperience Controller can easily be interfaced with a Digital Signage media player, such as a BrightSign, using either a Serial or USB connection. There is no need to install special software as the Nexmosphere components communicate instantly after connection to the player. When your audience interacts with the connected sensor Elements, a serial command is automatically sent to the media player, which in turn can trigger content as desired. Process the standard serial commands provided into the media player of your choice and design the exact required interactive user experience for your project.

RFID triggered content

Place & Learn
place-learn

The XR-DR1 antenna driver detects what tag number is placed on the antenna. This facilitates implementation of a so-called Place & Learn application in which digital content is triggered when a product/object is placed on the antenna. Simultaneously, the pixel LED strip can be set to match the color of the product /object.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135M8L
XR-Antenna Driver | XR-DR1 and XR-Antenna | XR-C10

Accessories
RFID tags, Pixel LED strip, X-talk cable, micro-USB cable

BrightSign player or any other Digital Signage media player

Lift & Learn
lift-learn

Lift & Learn applications are an ideal way to create engaging experiences between your brand and the customer. The customer is invited to pick-up the merchandise and explore how it looks and feels. Simultaneously, digital content is triggered, boosting the brand experience and providing more in-depth information about the product.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-185
XR-Antenna Driver | XR-DR1 and XR-Antenna | XR-A80
X-Wave | XW-L95
X-Eye Presence | XY-144

Accessories
RFID tags, X-talk cables, Split cable micro USB, 5V USB power supply

People tracking

Presence detection
presence-detection

The X-Eye Presence sensor is a narrow-beam IR sensor which can detect if an object or person is present, and if so, indicate the distance to the person in relation to the sensor. This enables implementation of multiple trigger zones, such as head-turning lighting effects on connected LED lighting when a person is far away, the appearance of call-to-action video content when they approach and appearing touch buttons when the person is standing right in front of your display.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135M34
X-Eye Presence | S-CM04 proximity sensor

Accessories
3p sensor cable, micro-USB cable

Motion detection
motion-detection-01

Motion detectors can be extremely valuable to trigger your Xperience to start at just the right moment. As soon as a person enters the detection area, the motion sensor will provide a trigger, indicating the amount of motion measured. The microwave doppler radar technology allows for placement behind virtually any surface material, creating a completely invisible embedded solution.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135
X-Eye Motion | XY-320

Accessories
micro-USB cable

Gender detection
gender-detection

Gender detection can be highly valuable when wanting to ensure the right content is displayed at the right time. As soon as the gender of a person is detected, the X-Eye Gender sensor will provide a trigger, enabling gender-related content to start playing when the target audience is looking (e.g. Women or Mens collection).

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135
X-Eye Gender | XY-520

Accessories
micro-USB cable

Audio switching

Analog switching

The customer can test and compare the speakers by the press of a button. Added LED lighting intuitively indicates which speaker is selected. Audio files and scripting can easily be updated remotely on the BrightSign should the merchandise change.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Modular controller | XM-305
Expansion module | EM-4
Expansion module | EM-8

X-Touch | XT-4G
X-Wave | XW-L95
X-Eye Presence | XY-145

Instead of 3.5mm Jack, audio-over-optical played on the BrightSign, can be switched over multiple products using the EM-34. This example illustrates 12V LED (instead of the X-Wave LED) using the EM-6 LED controller.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Modular controller | XM-305
Expansion module | EM-30 and Expansion module | EM-34
Expansion module | EM-6

Storytelling
storytelling

The lights in the buttons installed close to several products/objects, light up once the video explains a feature of this group of products/objects. This helps the customer to understand the features and select the right product. When a button is pushed, a new video with corresponding content can be triggered.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135MX3
X-Touch | XT-4FW53
X-Touch | XT-B4

Selection guide
selection-guide

Selection LED technology allows you to divide a pixel LED strip into multiple segments and control each of those segments separately. This facilitates implementation of a selection-guide-tool onto (the edge of) a retail shelf. While a video plays, explaining the features of a group of products, the LED segments in front of the products light up. Next to that, the shopper can indicate filter parameters via touch screen input and the products that fit the criteria can be indicated by the LEDs. By creating a similar journey as found in online shops, this helps the shopper understand features and select the right product.

For this setup use the following nexmosphere products
Nano controller | XN-135M8S

Accessories
Pixel LED strip, Split micro-USB cable, 5V USB power supply
