Interfacing

Nexmosphere offers several interfaces to connect with 3rd party products and sensors.

The X-Dot Serial interface connects a USB or serial port from a 3rd party device -such as a beamer or monitor-, to any Nexmosphere controller. This enables bi-directional communication between the connected 3rd party device and the Nexmosphere Controller.

Combine the X-Dot X with any of our Elements to create an engaging experience. For example a motion sensor which activates content on a beamer and an ambient light sensor which provides input on the required brightness.

The X-Dot I/O is a versatile interface to be used with industry-standard push buttons or with any other generic 3.3V or 5.0V I/O device. In this example a red buzzer button is connected to the I/O interface and combined with LED strips which can be set to a specific color when the button is pressed.

When using buttons with embedded LED ring/icon, the X-Dot I/O offers full control over the LED behaviour.

The X-Dot Motion interface is to be used with an industry-standard 5V controlled PIR or IR-technology based sensor. Sensor models with various beam angles and detection ranges can be used on this small interface enabling seamless integration.
